The Dumpster Beautified - The New York Times
Despite the plummeting mercury late Friday afternoon, a small crowd had gathered on the Bowery, near the New Museum, where three young women were gamely wallpapering a Dumpster in an elegant blue-and-white floral. A second Dumpster, covered in a green William Morris pattern and stuffed with a Christmas tree, had been finished elsewhere and rolled to the curb next to it.

“They’re so pretty and so domestic,” said Catherine McMillan, a passer-by who was visiting from Melbourne, Australia.  - READ MORE

An Artist Who Makes Dumpsters Beautiful - LA Weekly

rtist C. Finley has been wallpapering dumpsters for nearly 10 years. Based in New York and Rome, she's beautified close to 50 of the bulky, utilitarian and typically boring-looking objects in 14 cities, including Vienna, Paris, Berlin, Dublin and San Francisco.
